The Golf Black Dynamic was designed as a project by 9 VW apprentices over the course of 7 months. The car comes with a 1800 watt sound system in the boot, custom made sports seats and an over-sized exhaust system. Lastly the suspension has been dropped by 35mm and the power output has increased by 150 hp.The VW Golf Black Dynamic will make its world premiere from 16 to 19 May at the 31st GTI Festival at Wörthersee in Austria.

BMW are celebrating 40 years of their performance M division, looking back at one of the cars that started it all, the BMW M1. The M1 was produced between 1978 and 1981 and only 455 were ever built. Its no surprise that the M1 looks like a Lamborghini, the car was a joint venture between BMW and Lamborghini. Funnily enough, in South Africa the model was used as the BMW 745i.

Porsche have unveiled the new 918 Spyder prototype, it comes with an 4 litre V8 engine as well as 2 electric engines. Although the car is a prototype, Porsche have mentioned that the car will be produced and should be available near the end of 2013. It produces 770 hp while maintaining some impressive fuel economy, clocking in around 3 litres/100km, largely thanks to the hybrid drive-train.

RM Auctions held the auction in Monte Carlo to coincide with the Monaco Grand Prix, with the total auction sales topping 33 million euros. Top of the pile was this Ferrari 625 TRC Spider which went for over 5 million euros. Other cars on the auction included: a 1966 Ferrari 206 S Dino Spyder and a 1952 Ferrari 225 Sport Spyder ‘Tuboscocca’ as well as a Lamborghini Gallardo and some Ducati motorbikes, to name just a few.
